Jon and Kate plus who gives a shit?

Why are these people famous? I don't find any reason that they should be known by America. People get into arguments about who was wrong and how Jon's the reason they split and blah blah blah blah blah. Just stop, please. This country has far bigger problems to deal with that this couple. This was headline news on my yahoo homepage. That should tell you how fucked up we are as a society and nation when we care about this more than say, heathcare and and whole list of other things. Now I understand that sometimes it's good to get away from those big issues and talk about other things but this is not one of them. This shouldn't be a big controversy like it is. I don't even like the fact that they have a show. They just annoy me. Somehow they have become huge celebrities and I don't get it.
