Confucius say:

Confucius say:

those with feeble minds, can't think for themselves.

those who complain about stupidity, are sometimes those who lack intelligence.

Brain cells cannot be destroyed from those who don't posses them.

Unintelligent people only bring their stupidity to the table.

Oh, Confucius, you're so smart and know what say.

Palin the field.

Sarah Palin has been in the news a little bit too much for my liking. I thought we were done with her. I really wish she could just fade into obscurity but instead of that she wrote a memoir. What the hell? I don't need to know her memories and experiences of being Alaska's governor and how she had to give John McCain sponge-baths, you know? I find her to be uninteresting and lightheaded and I really hope she goes away. I commend David Letterman on making fun of her and I hope he keeps it up. And on that note, she's ignorant for saying that Letterman isn't funny because there's a lot of people who actually find him really funny. I love his "list of things more fun than reading the Sarah Palin memoir." It's humor, something which she obviously doesn't have. She should be used to jokes though, since Sarah herself is a joke.

Loooove

People throw around the word "love" a little bit too much I think. You can't love everything can you? I don't understand this fascination with "love."

Congrats to my Yankees.

Last night was a good night. My Yankees won the World Series, finally. They were clearly the best team throughout the season and with all the players they bought, it would've been a shame had they not won it.
I think Mark Texiera proved himself to be one of the best 1st basemen in league defensively. He may not have had the best of times offensively this postseason, but he still proved himself to be indispensable.
Kudos to Nick Swisher who was seen as just an extra player in the beginning of the season but turned himself into maybe one of the most important players on that team not only for his skills but also for his intangibles. He really brought that team together I feel.
A-Rod finally came through. He disappeared for a few games but he still came through for the Yanks when he was needed, driving in some key runs. I hope that who "he doesn't come through in the clutch" stigma goes away now because he proved that he can indeed come through when he is needed.
Does anything still need to be said about Derek Jeter? Mr. November. Mr. Clutch. He is the ultimate captain. I don't think he ever sat down, always cheering on his teammates on the top step. Yes, he may make the occasional mistake every now and again, but he also makes the spectacular play. He is one hell of a player. I can't wait to see him inducted into the Hall of Fame. He is the one player that i guess i have followed through his career and I'll feel old once he is retired because I pretty much grew up watching him play.
Congrats Yankees. Do it again next year.

Yankees

That is all for today. Go Yankees.

Oh shit, there's another one . . .

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynews/ynews_ts954

Damnit! There's another Bush and his name is also George. George P. (pussy?) Bush is the nephew of the . . erm . . . former president George W. Bush. I thought we were done?! The first Bush sucked and the second was even worse. What will we see with this one? He'll probably attack Great Britain or something. Wonderful.
The article said that members of the family are even joking around and calling him 47 because they hope he becomes the 47th president of the US. Please, no. We don't need another one. They obviously have high hopes for this guy. I won't wish death on anyone but I hope he goes to Iraq and marries some Iraqi women and doesn't come back. Save us all the trouble.
My jaw dropped when I saw this story. I hope the people of the US are smart enough to not elect him but then again, I have to see what I'm dealing with. They did, after all, re-elect "Dubya" after he was horrible in the first term so who knows. I guess we have reason to hope for 2012 after all.

well shit.

Wow it's been over 2 1/2 months since I've posted on here. I wanted to, but I guess I just didn't get around to it. I keep forgetting about this and putting it off and then it never gets done but I will once again try to make posts regularly. Really what I wanted to do was just take a little break until school started back up but then it just never happened. We'll see what happens now. Stay tuned. I'm sure I'll have some good stuff up.

Jon and Kate plus who gives a shit?

Why are these people famous? I don't find any reason that they should be known by America. People get into arguments about who was wrong and how Jon's the reason they split and blah blah blah blah blah. Just stop, please. This country has far bigger problems to deal with that this couple. This was headline news on my yahoo homepage. That should tell you how fucked up we are as a society and nation when we care about this more than say, heathcare and and whole list of other things. Now I understand that sometimes it's good to get away from those big issues and talk about other things but this is not one of them. This shouldn't be a big controversy like it is. I don't even like the fact that they have a show. They just annoy me. Somehow they have become huge celebrities and I don't get it.

Sarah Palin is an idiot

I don't know what else I really have to write about that, I mean . . . she is. From her small town voice, to her lack of knowledge about anything, it's been enough already. When she was stepping down she made it seem like she was such a noble person and doing it so others could get a chance, or some bullshit like that. I guess that's not entirely the case. Apparently she did some illegal stuff in office, but that hasn't been concerned so I won't get into that (though if she did do illegal stuff it was probably by accident. I mean, it's Sarah Palin.)
Word through the playscape is that she wants to host a television or radio show. That 's a head scratcher. I couldn't even bare to listen to her voice in the mini clips played on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart when they were making fun of her, how would a three hour radio or one hour television show work. No thanks. I'd throw my TV.
If she's planning a run at the White house for 2012 she's more retarded than I thought. I said in the past that there was no bigger embarrassment to the United States than George Bush but Sarah Palin would top that with very little trouble. She would make U.S. women look like airheads. Maybe the Mayans were right. Maybe she'll be elected president in 2012, and then the world would abruptly end.

ahh wow I'm lame

Well I haven't been on this for almost a month, and I wish I was but I'm not sure, I guess it just didn't work out. In a way, it was that there wasn't that much noteworthy things to blog about, or none that I can think of at the moment. It really has been a slow month in terms of what I usually write about.

I mean, sure, there's been some things, like the cops arresting the Harvard professor at his own house and then President Obama telling them that the police acted "stupidly." I enjoyed that episode, especially now because as it turns out, the professor was a complete ass and was acting like someone with no manners. Apparently despite having all those degrees, he never learned how to treat people. I'll admit, when I first heard the story, I was on the professors side because we didn't have enough information but now as we get more and more information and more eye witnesses coming forth, I have to say that I respect the cop for not clubbing Professor Gates over the head. He had every reason to after what we've heard so far.

It's been a month since Michael Jackson died, and we're still hearing about him. I think we can stop that now. Thanks.

Big news in the Detroit Area and I guess all over the country really, part I-75 in the Detroit area went ablaze when a tanker exploded. Stupid truck driver, right? Wrong. Apparently some idiot cut him off. Whatever. Let's spend some more money that we don't have to fix up the highway.

Brett Favre. Shut up. Go away. I don't care anymore and I just want you to make your decision public because I know that you know what you want to do. You're stupid and a diva and my television and radio and computer is filled with your ugly mug nonstop because you're a legend apparently. I wish Warren would've beat the shit out of you in "There's something about Mary".

More Michael Vick. This I don't mind because, while he brought the media attention on himself before, right now he doesn't want it. That's how Vick and Favre are different. Favre knows what he's doing and Vick just wants to get on with his career. I'm still rooting for him and I hope he comes back better than ever. Even more so, I hope he can win the Super Bowl one day. I think that would be perfect. A big F U to all his critics. Now, realistically do I think he'll win a Super Bowl? No, but I'll still be rooting for him. I'll buy a Vick t-shirt and wear it proudly. I hope he finds a team soon so I can get that shirt.

Taco Bell

Just a short little thought. Have you noticed that when you're at taco bell, and a group of friends (mostly guys) are there, they almost always act like idiots? I don't know what it is about TBell but it makes people lose their minds. Now, if you're there alone it's a completely different story. You're quiet and take more notice of these idiots. Who knows, maybe I'm the only one who ever goes to Taco Bell alone, but I've noticed this on more than one occasion. Another almost inevitable situation is they always flip a shit at the amount one of them eats, and they keep repeating the same thing. "I can't believe you're eating 4 tacos, 2 burritos and a mexican pizza!! DUDE!!" That's possibly why I always try to run out of there as soon as I get my order.

Michael Jackson and everyone else dying.

It's been a while and a lot has happened. Michael Jackson died. Alright. Can we move on. It seems like everyone forgot about him as the child molester and only remembered him as the singer. I'm not saying don't praise the singer, but don't forget about the child molester. He (allegedly) did things that I see as inexplicable. In my opinion there's no worse crime than that. We seemed to forget all about Farrah Fawcett, who was courageous in her fight with cancer, but we remember him (or it, I don't even know). It's time to move on. Truth be told, I'm more upset about Billy Mays dying. He was a legend. R.I.P. Billy Mays

Of course there's no double standard . . .

Alright, I don't know if you guys have heard about the Donte Stallworth story but let me just sum it up for you. He got drunk, got behind the wheel, and killed someone. Yes, drunken vehicular manslaughter. Now that's serious stuff, he surely must've gotten a pretty hefty prison sentence right? Yeah right. He got 30 days. 30 DAYS? Are you joking. If one of us would've done that, it would've been 30 years, not 30 days. He's a high profile guy so of course, he got special treatment. What pissed me off even more is that on ESPN they were saying how this was a fair punishment. WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM? It's not a fair punishment, are you joking? A man is dead because he was too irresponsible to call a cab to take him home, or whatever the case was. He got behind the wheel while drunk. That's not smart. It's utterly stupid and 30 days is not a punishment for that. I understand that he'll have to live with that but there's a man that's dead and his family will never see him again. I'm sick of these athletes getting off so damn easy.

Well well well

Hello blogger, long time no see. I'm not feeling very creative today. Just wanted to update some stuff that happened that I also cared about.

-Red Wings lost the Stanley Cup. Very sad.
-FIFA confederations Cup in South Africa started. Some summer soccer is good.
-ummm . . . . I think that's it. I haven't done much else besides that that's newsworthy.

YES! Thank you England!

http://news.aol.com/article/stupid-mom/510722

My excitement right now is just amazing. Words really can't describe how happy I am after reading into this story. I've been calling for this for years. A young women in England was deemed too stupid to keep her child. I've always said that stupid people should not be allowed to pro-create but since that's nearly impossible to control, I figure this is the next best thing. I really want this to happen here. They just took the kid because she was too stupid. I didn't know this was even an option. There should be a kind of screening process for parents. I mean, do IQ and everything. And since we're on the subject, can we also take away kids from those deemed creepy? Sorry Michael Jackson, I guess you'd be shit out of luck. I can think of so many people right now who wouldn't be allowed to keep their kids. Ah, I love it. Keep doing what you're doing England. There's some messed up people in the world. Let's now let them screw up another life.

China blocks Twitter! Chaos!

So China is having an election, oh sorry, and "election" and I guess during this time, they'll be blocking Twitter to prevent opinions or something from getting out. The reason I think this is worth even blogging about is because the American media thinks that this is worth writing about. First, why do we care if China blocks Twitter. There are far bigger issues to worry about involving China like, for example, how we're going to pay them back all those billions of dollars we owe them. Why don't we write more about that? Well, besides the fact that we're might mighty America who doesn't need help from anybody. I could care less about what China does, but why are we writing about something as insignificant as banning Twitter? We have been brainwashed into thinking Capitalism is the only way and since they're communist I'd rather hear about how uncivilized about horrible and other non-factual things than this. So yes, in this case, I'd rather read stupid, made up bullshit than this because this just shows how far off our society has gone. Now, excuse me as I announce that I have a new blog on Twitter.

Life

This will be a little bit different . . .

Life is weird. I think I've figured out what life is about. Things happen in our lives but that's not what life is about. I think that life is in fact how we respond to these things, be it bad or good. For example, let's say you win the lottery. That is one of those events that happens in your life but it's not what life is about. It's about what you do with your money and how you go about your business after you've won. An even bigger part of life is how you deal when something bad happens. Life is filled with mini-disasters or travesties that are there to show your toughness and resilience. They affect you and then you respond. It's how you respond that shows the type of person you are. It's really like a domino affect. Something bad happens to you, and you do something stupid, that'll surely affect someone else and so on. If you react positively, then everything is good. If you react negatively, well, then the cycle continues. There will always be someone who cares about you and they will be affected if you're reaction is negative.

This time of year

I really love this time of year. It's probably my favorite. I look out on either side of my house and I just see smoke coming from people's grills. It's a great feeling. Everyone is enjoying their steaks and hamburgers. People always seem a lot happier when they have their grills going because meat is good. It gives you a true All-American feeling. You know? Just standing in front of the grill while everyone else is sitting down somewhere outside. If you have another family or two, then the dominant males from each family gather around the grill to talk about how to cook the meat and what weird things they've grilled. It's inevitable that this will happen. Another conversation that will surely take place is the women are talking about the men and their grills and how obsessive they are while they are setting the table or mixing the salad. Then when the meat is finally done everyone's a little reluctant to take the first piece, that is until someone makes the bold first move. After that all bets are off and be cautious about leaving your hand in there too long because you might get hurt. This is the real life. The grills are going folks, enjoy your barbecue be it chicken, pork, or beef because it's all good.

I hate PeTA

Alright, well i know how it's going to be. PeTA will get mad at the horse racers and horse racing all together because they think that they're mistreating the horses (whatever, this isn't something new) and now today with the Mike Vick thing going on, they're probably going to be saying stuff about this too. They'll make owners afraid to pick up Vick because of the abuse they'll take from these tools. Vick deserves a second chance but these assholes don't want him to get that chance. He's human. Humans make mistakes. After all, look at the mistake your parents made when they had you people. Just get off his back. If he has any sense, he won't do anything even remotely like this so this should be a non-issue. If you people are the reason Mike Vick doesn't get a chance in the NFL then you should be ashamed of yourselves because you're less than human since you care more about animals than a fellow human.

Old People

So I was working mothers day yesterday and I just wanted to make a point that I learned. "Old people are not Nice!" In fact, they're quite rude. I got yelled at by a bunch of good for nothing oldies that this world could do without. I'm just trying to do my job and see how you people are doing on your food and you yell at me to leave you alone? Go fuck yourself bitch. They're also do damn inpatient. Where are you trying to get to? Are you trying to die sooner? No, so go away. I have people in front of me, don't tell me to move. Yeah, some old lady actually told me to "come on move." What the hell is this? It wasn't even a nice way. I wanted to swing my hand around and "accidently" catch her across the jaw. I don't know what I'll do if I ever hear how nice old people are, because they're not. They're actually quite unpleasant. Calm down oldies, there's a reason why we don't like you so change yourself.

Better person than I

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/ap_on_re_us/us_boy_s_trek

Hopefully you looked into the story or this will not make much sense to you. This 11 year old boy is a better human than I. He's doing all this walking to help out the less fortunate. I know that i can honestly say I would never walk from Tampa to Washington D.C. I just can't see myself being motivated enough to do that. It's just not something I can do. From the looks of him, he looks like he has a pretty good life. He's wearing clean clothes and hair gel, which if i would've done at the age of 11 it would've been news enough (come to think of it, it'd be news now.) This guy will be spending his summer vacation walking for the homeless. What will I be doing my summer vacation you ask? Oh, I'll be sleeping for sure. I can't even be motivated enough to wake up. This kid is going to be walking in the extreme heat. I hate even going out of my house when it's that humid. The more I talk about it, the more worthless I feel actually.

A little late but flu hits, causes hysteria

Alright, well I've been off for a while and as much as I'd like to say that I was working on another project and that I was busy, I wasn't. I was just lazy but here we go.
This swine flu has been pissing me off. Not even a 1000 people had it and everyone was saying how this is the end and it would sweep the nation and kill everything and everyone. Calm down, have some dip. This swine flu isn't nearly as dangerous as everyone said it was, Not even close. The flu kills a lot of people every year and as of now, I believe the death toll for this only at one or two in the United States. All these people who are saying it's a pandemic are overreacting so much so my head is hurting. The swine flu, more than likely, won't kill you. It's the flu, that I guess originated from pigs or something. Really not a big deal. They say to prevent it is to wash your hands, cover your mouth when you cough, etc. Shouldn't you be doing this already, meaning, as a natural courtesy to your friends and family and whoever else you come in contact with? I mean, after you sneeze and cover it with your hand, shouldn't you wash the crap off of your hands because it's nasty? Come on people, does it really take a flu "pandemic" to practice the act of cleaning yourself. Apparently it does, which just shows where we are as a society.

Tucker Max

Alright, well I haven't done one of these in a while, and I don't really have one now either but I thought that I'd direct people to www.TuckerMax.com. This guy is a legend and you will laugh for hours. I'll try to post something else today if I can. I had an idea, but I didn't write it down fast enough and I forgot about it.

Oh KFC

So KFC, is making grilled chicken now. Kind of funny how Kentucky FRIED Chicken is going grilled now to go along with their fried chicken, but whatever. I think it's good in theory because we have a very fat country but how much will this really help? I don't think it'll help that much. I prefer grilled chicken to fried any day of the week so if anything, this will just bring people like me to KFC but i don't think that it'll result in the fat people and the people who normally get fried chicken (thought: that's the same person isn't it?) to get grilled. It might get a few people but the majority who really want it, will get fried either way. It's not like they didn't have options. They could've gotten some better food before hand but they chose fried chicken and I don't really see that changing to be honest. If people like something, they'll get it no matter what. Reading up on some of the reviews, apparently it's pretty good so that's a plus so I'll definitely have to go try it out but for a lot of people, fried chicken is their everything and I don't see them giving that up. I never really go to KFC because I don't like fried chicken but I like their tradition and whatnot so I really hope this grilled chicken is a success because I can definitely see myself going in there every now and then to get some grilled chicken. Don't ruin this for us fat people. Keep the grilled chicken around.

Say it ain't so!!

John Madden is retiring from commentating games. I mean, yea, he's faded into obscurity and is the punch line to a lot of jokes, but just the thought that I won't hear his voice doing games anymore, it's kind of like I'm losing something. John Madden's voice has always said "You're watching football" to me and I'm sad that I won't have that feeling anymore. He's done a lot of good for the game and I really hope that he sticks around in some function, but I kind of doubt that. He's in his 70's so I hope he enjoys the every bit of the rest of his life somewhere in really warm weather. I guess it's true when they say that all good things come to an end, and this is definitely one of those good things. I don't know who will be the future great commentator, but for now, I'll just look back at John Madden's career and be happy that he graced us with his football knowledge.

Also, I think it's fitting that he's retiring the same year as Brett Favre. That gives me a little chuckle.

Keep rollin' rollin' rollin'

Yess!!! Limp Bizkit is making a return finally. They've announced tour dates and will begin touring in Europe, which makes me ask. Why the hell would they start in Europe? They made their name here but whatever, I'm happy that they're back and I can't wait to get my hands on the new CD whenever it happens to come out. Read the full story on their website at http://www.limpbizkit.com/

Music taste

Just a little short one for now. I was going through my itunes and I got thinking. When did my music taste become so soft? I mean, I still enjoy the more aggressive rock, I like it a lot, but I find myself liking the soft rock a lot more. For me now it's U2 and Dave Matthews. What is going on here. I high school freshman version of me would laugh at the college freshman version of me for sure. In no way am I ripping DM or U2 because they make great music. I wouldn't listen if that wasn't the case. I'm just wondering what happened to me from the time when I would listen to only Godsmack, Limp Bizkit, umm. . . Drowning Pool, bands like those to now where I may still listen to them, it's not so often and I frequently turn to Coldplay, U2 and Matthews because, I don't know, I guess it just relaxes me and it's comforting, or something like that. Let me just finish by saying the acoustic version of Gravedigger is awesome and everyone should definitely give a listen to it. I'm jamming to it right now and I write. Wow, I'm getting old.

oh baseball players

So I was watching baseball and I came to realize. These guys are making millions upon millions of dollars and for what? There is limited running, sometimes they catch and throw a ball and a whole lot of standing around. Yes, they do things that I can't do but is it really worth that many millions of dollars. No, there's far too much standing around. Especially in this economy, i feel people should be a little offended. There are people who are actually working long hard hours and just getting by. These guys, while having special skills, don't do so much to the point where the deserve this type of money. Obviously you can't cut their pay down by a lot but something needs to be done because it's getting out of hand. Just think about how many people you could help if you cut every MLB players salary who's making over $15 million by only $1 million.

America is FAT!

Alright so I was walking around campus the other day and I came to realize just how fat of a nation we really are. Allow me to elaborate. I was walking behind this one girl who was fat. None of this obese shit, she was fat. She had to be like 5'4" but she must have weighed about 225 pounds. Also, she was walking really slow (naturally) and I was running late so I had to walk around her. As i was walking by her, I heard a heavy breathing sound. She was breathing like she had just run a marathon! Now if that's not bad enough, i turned my head a little bit so I could see her out of the corner of my eyes and I saw something in her hand. She had a candy bar in her hand (I think it was either a snickers or a milkey way). She should not be eating those with her size. If she should have anything in her hand she should have either celery or a carrot, but not junk food like that. That's what pisses me off the most. People like this will eventually be called handicap because they're so damn out of shape, and they can't walk. Then they'll get those fancy little blue handicap tags to put in their car so they can park really close, thus taking away a spot from someone who really is handicap. They should have a special fat section in parking lots. These sections would be the farthest away from the store. It would encourage weight loss I think. Take that fat America.

this is a hard situation to be in. . .

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,512400,00.html

Alright, many things wrong with this. First, how is this even possible? But thats kind of down on my list of things to ask about it. How does a man walk around with a hard one for over a week? It's embarrassing to walking around with one period, let alone for 8 days. When's there's something poking out in the guy's pants, what did people say? I think I'd be too embarrassed to ask.
Second, why didn't he just take care of it? He was in Peru, I'm sure there's plenty of cheap prostitutes there that would've been more than happy to take care of that problem. If you can't afford one, then there's always the tested and successful method of self-pleasuring. Take care of business my good man.
What worries me though is that he's a farmer. I guess I'm more glad than worried because at least he didn't try to have sex with one of the farm animals to get rid of it, or maybe he did. I don't know, the story didn't say. Sometimes I just shake my head.

please keep this Man law in mind

Alright, this is something that's been on my mind for a while now. Don't ask another guy, especially a friend, if they think your girl is good looking, unless she actually is good looking. And come on, you know if your girl is a looker rather than a look-at-that. This just causes problems if you ask that question. Even if you lie and say she's good looking, it won't be a natural sounding answer and then problems just happen. There's that slight pause where guy 2 is thinking of an answer which won't offend guy 1, but really the pause says it all. It's what you think anyways isn't it? Please, save everyone the problem and just keep your questions to yourself.

alright

So it's been a while.
well as you see, there are now ads all over my page (hey might as well). The thing that irked me is the type of ads. My ads are telling me to pray! What the hell? I'll post something more meaningful today more than likely but I really had to get that off my chest. If you feel any of these ads are calling you, then please click on them. Find jesus or something (and make me money)

boredom

So I haven't written anything in a while, mostly because I haven't seen anything really note-worthy, and it continues. It's been a pretty boring week I guess. I kind of want something to happen. It makes life so much more interesting. Yes the economy has continued to become more shit as the days go by, but I'd much rather not write about that, as I've said. So until next time kids, have fun.

Another sign that the end is near

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090316/ap_en_ot/dora_for_tweens

Dora the explorer gets a new look and people go crazy. Apparently parents think she's a prostitute. Now I don't know what kind of prostitutes these parents have seen but that is definitely not the look of a hooker. These are probably the same noble parents who send their kinds to the malls wearing clothing more revealing than this.
Damnit! It's a CARTOON!!! Please, just go somewhere.
"A sexed-up version of a children's icon." That's what some parents are saying! Have they lost their minds? The sad thing is they actually think that they're helping. I can't believe it's actually an "uproar". You know what people should be in an uproar about? The fact that they won't have money to buy this doll in a few months. They should worry about that because before you know it, Dora won't be able to afford any clothes and will have to wear a garbage bag or something. I can't wait to hear the complaints then.

Interesting people. . .

Hey, I just wanted to make a list of interesting people I feel should be examined or just need to go away. Think about your lives. . . Now imagine your lives without these people. Fun isn't it? Ok here we go

-Political nut jobs
-Liberals
-Conservatives
-Religious people
-People from PETA
-NRA members
-People who try to act really sophisticated when they're obviously not
-People who are experts on everything
-Metrosexuals
-The people who love to give advice on everything
-The people in class who always ask questions no matter what
-People who love their dogs way too much (dogs weren't meant to wear ridiculous sweaters or be made out with)
-Fat people who complain about being fat yet still go back for fifths at the buffet lines

A little continuation on my Lent rant. . .

Alright so I was on Yahoo! and I saw that some jackoffs have decided to give up text messaging for Lent. Ok, what the shit? What is wrong with everyone? This world is ending, I am convinced. In "Jesus'" time, they didn't have texting, I'm sure "he'd" forgive you if you don't give it up. What is this world coming to? Honestly. I'm really worried about society at this point. First off, I wouldn't give up texting. It's stupid. Second, these people are taking this thing far too seriously. I hope these brainiacs slip up and text someone and then fall into such dismay that they cut themselves. Less people in the world. I'm not morbid though, I'm thinking about these people. I just want to reunite them with their beloved creator.

Have a great day folks.

Just some questions for society. . .

-When did FML become so widely used?

-Why is Rush Limbaugh so prominent in the Republican party?

-Why is Paris Hilton famous at all?

-Why do we have kids on leashes?

-Why are 12 year-old girls walking around the mall dressed like 18 year-olds minus the assets?

-Why do so many people care what Oprah thinks or wants you to read?

-Why hasn't Dr. Phil had his testicles taken away yet?

-How is Hugh Hefner still alive? (You think all that blood flowing away from one head to the other would've had some affect by now.)

-Why are there still religious rallies?

-Why is everything a tragedy and a miracle these days?

-Why can't people take credit for good things they do rather than thank "supernatural beings" for bestowing great blessings on them?

-Why is every New Years a big deal?

-Why do Americans seem to hate Europeans, yet they still want to go on vacation there?

-Why are we surprised when kids become druggies when we feed them pills for every little disorder?

overheard something that made me smile today. . .

So I heard some people talking about how they're not eating meat during lent, or something like that and I got to thinking, why is this? I know the bible doesn't say give up meat so why do catholics take it upon themselves to not eat meat? What are they trying to prove? This just goes to show that religion is mind control and not only mind control, but I guess also diet controlling. Throw whatever facts you want at me, it's still crazy. It makes absolutely no sense, but then again, what else do you expect from religion? Is it supposed to make sense? Of course not. So I guess if you do believe in that stuff then you shouldn't eat meat anyways. Leave the steaks and burgers to me and I'll give the coals I used to cook my steak with to you to go draw some more pagan symbols.

Some quick hitters

-Manchester United is continuing it's run of being dominant with a 4-0 beat down of Fulham in the FA cup quaters. Can anyone beat them? I think not.

-So the economy has become shit. I haven't really written about it mostly because I don't pay attention to it really because I'd rather not hear about how poor we all are and how much more poor we will become. So unless something happens (like I end up in a cardboard box somewhere on the street) I probably won't be writing too much about it.

-The NCAA basketball season is coming to an end so that means the real season is beginning. In just over a week, the Tournament will tip-off meaning one thing. A lot of money will be passed around in bets. OH sweet capitalism.

-Did anyone else used to watch Transformers: Beast Wars? I know I spent a large chunk of my day watching episodes of Beast Wars on YouTube and it was amazing. I loved that show when I was little and I love it again. I think I watched every single one that was posted. I'm just upset that it ended after only 3 seasons and then they made the spinoff Beast Machines. Beast Wars was so much better. Is this making me a total dork? Yes. Do I care? No.

Athletes always know each other

So I'm just watching the Cleveland/Boston Basketball game and I see LeBron and Marbury hug each other. Do these guys really know each other? One's like 24 the other's 31? It's like this with all the athletes it seems. I understand some might live close to each other or know each other from past teams, but not everyone can know everyone. They see each other 2-4 times a year, no way are they that close. I don't even hug my sisters. I'm just taken aback by it. Athletes must be really friendly people. Now the mystery is why they're always involved in shootings?

RONALDO

So my childhood hero Ronaldo made his return to professional soccer last night with Brazilian Club Corinthians. This made me very happy because I'm hoping he can make one more run at a World Cup (as long as that bitch Dunga is gone.) He didn't score or do any spectacular but it's amazing just to see him playing because this latest knee injury was supposed to end his career. I can't wait for him to start scoring. He's in the Brazilian league so it shouldn't be that big of a problem. Here's to making another huge comeback Ronaldo, it's good to see you back in uniform.

please. . .?

Alright not that I like barrack or anything of that nature but please. . . can you dumbasses please agree on something? I'd rather not hear about how screwed we are anymore and get back to the normal news? You know, murder, theft, drugs. The things we heard about in the good ole days.

And just so no one is confused and pegs me as a republican, they're a bunch of dumbass, hypocritical brick heads as well. What we always heard when someone criticized george bush was that shit about how we shouldn't say those things about our president because it shows weakness. Well. . . if I heard things right, I'm pretty sure Rush Limbaugh over there pretty much called barrack an idiot and a loser and whatever else he said. Doesn't that sound like the exact thing us bush-bashers were told not to do? I'm not saying barrack isn't those things but I just found it humorous of the ignorant and hypocritical nature of those "real Americans" as they like to be referred to.

U2's new CD

Well I got the CD today and I got to say, it's. . . different. I don't know what I was expecting but I might be a little let down because of the hype. I had already heard some of their songs but I was still a little bit disappointed. Keep in mind, this is only after listening to it for a little bit and it'll probably grow on me but my first impression wasn't super. I've already noticed that I liked it a little more since I first put it into my CD player so I think I'll like it. That being said, I don't think any of the songs will ever really be known as one of the greats like Vertigo, Beautiful Day, One (best song IMO), Where the streets have no name, etc. I think it'll be a success though simply because it's U2 and U2 is U2 and they can sell anything because they're the biggest band in the world. Any other band and this would've been their biggest album but with a band like U2, it falls somewhere in the middle. We'll see. They'll probably win a bunch of Grammy awards and make millions of dollars (yet again) and they'll go back in the studio and crank out another album in 3 years so really, the cycle starts now I believe. Once one album lands, the wait for the next one is on. It's the circle of the music world. I'll enjoy this album, probably for non-stop, for about the next 3 weeks. I'm hoping I see something about concert dates so I can go see them live, which is one of my life goals. I can't wait, we'll see how it goes. I'll probably have some more posts about U2 just because it's U2.

U2

So U2 is coming out with their new album in a couple of days and I am absolutely stoked. I can't wait to listen to it. Apparently it's a really good one and will be remembered as one of their bests, or so they say, but I'm going to hold out on the judgement until I hear it first hand. I really hope it is because this is the first album that they're coming out with that I can say I'm a fan of theirs. I don't know if it'll have one of those big releases but if they do I'd really like to be there at midnight to pick it up. I'll be posting a review of the CD as soon as I listen to it. This has the potential to be HUGE.

champions League and Jose.

So I'm pretty excited that the Champions League kicks off the round of 16 later today. The marquee matchup of Manchester United and Inter Milan will take place today. I'm ready for this. Hopefully my manchester United can take this. I think the score will be either 2-1 or 1-0 Man U.
Another reason I'm looking forward to this match up, besides the obvious that, the teams are good, is that jose Mourinho is coaching Inter. I think he's the finest coach in the world and also, I think he'll take over at Manchester United eventually. I've been saying that since he's been at Chelsea. He has one year left on his contract. I think Ferguson will retire at the end of next year with Ryan Giggs, who I also think will retire. It'd be a fitting way to go. Throughout the years I think Giggs has been Sir Alex's favorite player and the two have combined to make each other very very successful. I just think it'd be the perfect way to go out. Let's say they stick around for another 2 years, Mourinho will just sign an extension. I want Mourinho at Old Trafford more than anyone. He'd be exactly what this team would need to not skip a beat after the legend Sir Alex leaves. I think the way everything is shaping up, that's how it'll turn out. keep watching, I know I will, and I can't wait to see Sir Alex in red.

Same old stuff

So a lot has happened but at the same time, nothing has happened. More steroid talk, more Phelps talk blah blah blah. It's actually getting realy old and tired to always hear the same thing. I want something big to break. The only way I'll be really interested in the steroid talks again is if, I don't know, Barry Bonds' head explodes or something. It'd have to be something big because quite honestly, I don't care that much anymore.
And about Michael Phelps, I've already written my congratulations to him for smoking weed and being an amazing athlete so I don't think anymore is needed.
Can we find something new to talk about please?

A little rant on steroids

Everyone, but mostly the media, has such a big problem with athletes taking steroids but here's the thing. It's their fault. Yes, I believe that it's the media's fault that these athletes are taking steroids. Hear me out on this one. They put such an astronomical amount of pressure on athletes to perform that they're driven to be better. Once they max out their potentials on pure skill and just working out and it's still not good enough, they feel that they need to do something to get better, in this case steroids. I understand that it's not moral to take steroids because it's cheating the game but I think you have to look at it from the other side as well. These guys are expected to perform and when they don't, they get criticized and called out. They're humans too. No one likes being badgered about not doing something good so instead of that, they decided to take steroids. It's simply a product of the beast that the media has created.

A-Rod and Steroids

Alright so by now anyone who's watched any television knows that Alex Rodriguez was caught using steroids. whatever. Even though it was only reported two days ago, it already seems like old news. What he did today was he confessed. In a world where no one confesses and everyone is innocent, this took balls. He said straight up, "I took steroids." I think he should get some credit for that since not a lot of people (even the most obvious of users) admit to it.
I honestly don't think this should keep him out of the hall of fame. Even if you take away his stats from those three years, he's still hall of fame caliber. We'll see how far this all goes. I'm really hoping he really did only take steroids those three seasons (when it was still allowed by the way), and didn't keep taking them. You mad major respect from me and a bunch of other people, I really hope that doesn't get taken away by news him taking steroids at other times too.

Keep toking Michael Phelps

So there's some pretty big buzz about Michael Phelps smoking marijuana and I've just got this to say. Who cares? He won this country 8 gold medals. Maybe the weed even helps him swim. It obviously didn't hurt him. He hasn't said how much he's done it but I'm willing to bet that he's done it before judging by how he took those bong hits. I hope they discover that there's something in marijuana that helps swimmers swim faster and then all these people shut up. People need to stop overreacting, especially the mothers who want him to be a role model to their children. He's 23. That's far from role model age. He's a young guy, he's going to do some things, it's just that he got caught this time. Big deal. He'll probably do it again too, in the privacy of his own home of course, with no cameras. I think his only mistake was getting caught and I think he feels the same way too. Had he not been caught, he wouldn't feel guilty.

SuperBoring

Sorry I'm a little late with my super bowl post, i was in a coma. Seriously, I think people are blowing this a little bit out of proportion. Some are saying one of the best Super bowls ever. Is this some kind of joke. I found that far from the best. Now, if you told me it was one of the best 4th quarters, then yes, I'd have to agree with you. It was a very good, maybe even great, 4th quarter. Hell, you can even say it was the best last minute of a half when Harrison returned that interception 100 yards. That was a great play, but the game as a whole? No way. That being said, I was still surprised because I thought it was going to be a really bad game and it turned out to be not as bad as I though (doesn't make it good though). Arizona played as though they were just happy to be there for a large portion of the game and with the exception of some instances, like the first drive, Pittsburgh seemed a little tentative. Ben Roethlisberger didn't have that good of a game in my opinion either. If it wasn't for that 4th quarter, he would've had another horrible game and people would be questioning him yet again. I know it's whether he won the game, which is true, but don't anoint him as the second coming then either. He made some really good plays with his feet but statistic wise, not so good. That being said, he gets the job done and I'd rather have him on my team than Peyton Manning. Yes, I said it. Ben gets the job done in big games and Peyton really doesn't. Sure he has a Super Bowl but think back to how many big games he lost in the years before that and now that Dungy is gone, I kind of expect it to go back to how it was, with Peyton choking in big games.

Things

"To be human is to live not in a world of things, but in a world of the meaning of things"- Lee Thayer

Very true. I got this from one of my professors. I just want to share my thoughts and what this means. The world is filled with things that are just there. They are later labeled and given a meaning by humans. What is a cat if it's not given the name "cat"? If not given a label, does it still exist? Of course it does. Names are given for social meanings, they don't actually determine what it is.

America

So today is the day when another lier gets sworn into office. Outstanding. Historical day, all that other good stuff. Moving on.

America? oh yea, America.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20090107/tv_nm/us_inauguration
they're making way too big of a deal out of all of this and Obama in general. What has he done to be heralded as anything more than another politician; a lying, deceiving, bullshitter who will do anything to have his approval ratings up. He's a failure until he proves himself otherwise, all politicians are. And what is this "Time magazine person of the year"? what is this shit? what has he done? Ok, he was elected president. give the award to the people that voted for him, or the propaganda of the media who made him come out as the perfect person. If he stops fighting in the middle east, maybe consider giving it to him. It's a slap in the face to a lot of people because there were a lot of great people in 2008 who did a lot of great things but they get overlooked because Obama lied...I mean, got elected president.
